KUNA YALA

Is an indigenous region in Panama, lived by the etnia kuna. Former the region he was called San Blas. His capital is The Future. It borders in the northern part on the Caribbean Sea, in the southern part on Darién's province and the region Emberá Wounnan, in the eastern part on Colombia and in the western part on the province of Colon.
  • Geography:
Kuna Yala's Region possesses an area of 3,206 km ². It consists of a narrow band of land of 373 km from length on the east coast of the Panamanian Carib, bordering on Darién's province and Colombia. An archipelago of 365 islands they surround the coast, of which 36 are inhabited.

  •   Economy:
The Economy of Kuna Yala's Region devotes itself principally to the agriculture, fishing, production of crafts, and to the tourism.
